MUSIC NEWS - Bob Seger finally opens up the vaults later this month for for his "Early Seger Vol. 1" release (out via Hideout Records exclusively at Mejers grocery and BobSeger.com). Filled with hard-to-find album cuts and a few previously unreleased tracks, the set contains 10-tracks and should satisfy his hard-core fans.

Included are songs from three of Seger's early '70s albums (including the long unavailable "Smokin' O.P.'s" and "Back in '72"), a reminder of Seger's diverse music styles prior to his arrival at his now classic sound.  Vintage rock 'n' roll, and his soulful Southern rock sound are represented as well, and a lively updated "Long Song Comin' ".  Happily included are some deep archival numbers sure to please his diehard followers. "Gets Ya Pumpin' " , "Seven"-era number with Seger's electric young voice at its peak; "Wildfire" and "Days When the Rain Would Come" from his "Like a Rock" days. (see full track list below).

Being named "Volume 1" and Seger's history of recoding many extra tunes for each album, we trust future gem filled releases are planned.
