MUSIC NEWS - Live Nation, thru its Studios divison, this week launched a new live music program via the iTunes Music Store. The concert giant will offer exclusive recorded and filmed concerts from its network of "wired" venues for purchase and download. Live recordings from OK Go, Jesse McCartney, Saving Abel, A Fine Frenzy, Duffy, Plain White T's and Ziggy Marley, among others, have been released this week, with more to come. iTunes has added a new area to the store dedicated to the live recordings, and concert videos cost between $8 and $13, while audio shows typically cost $8.
LN's Studios division regularly records concerts in more than 80 of its concert venues, noting that the program will extend the live concert experience beyond the live show itself and give its customers exclusive content while opening up a new avenue for touring artists to offer audio and video recordings directly to fans.
