MUSIC NEWS - R.E.M.'s upcoming concert documentary This Is Not A Show: Live at the Olympia in Dublin. will have some sneak preview screenings ! The 60-minute film, with concert and backstage footage shot at the Irish capital’s Olympia club by French filmmakers Vincent Moon and Jeremiah, will screen in movie theaters, rock clubs, college campuses, and other venues across the country throughout October and early November prior to the dvd release. Current shows are listed below, and the distributor, Cinema Purgatorio is taking your suggestions on more locations to screen the doc.

This Is Not a Show... is the hour-long video part of R.E.M. Live At the Olympia—a brand-new live CD+DVD that's releasing on October 27, 2009 via Warner Bros Records. The two-CD audio portion, produced by Jacknife Lee, features 39 songs that capture the best moments from the band’s “working rehearsals” at the fabled Dublin venue during which singer Michael Stipe, guitarist Peter Buck, and bassist Mike Mills tested out new songs for R.E.M.’s 2008 studio album Accelerate
