MUSIC NEWS - To celebrate the release of their 10th studio album World Painted Blood, (out Tuesday, November 3) Slayer will make a special appearance on ABC-TV's "Jimmy Kimmel Live" on Wednesday, November 4 (airs 12:05 ET/11:05CT), performing the new album's title track. The band wants fans to attend, and arranged for 400 lucky fans who purchase World Painted Blood at any of the 10 participating Los Angeles-area Best Buy stores (list is  below) will receive two wristbands that will gain you  access to the outdoor "Jimmy Kimmel Live" audience to see Slayer's special performance.

The band will also make an in-store appearance at Hot Topic on Wednesday, November 4 at 3:30PM, The store is at the Hollywood and Highland complex (6801 Hollywood Blvd.).  When you buy a copy of World Painted Blood or any Slayer t-shirt exclusively from the Hollywood Blvd. Hot Topic,  you'll receive a wristband that guarantees you the chance to meet the band at the in-store the next day. Only a limited number of these wristbands will be available, and once they're gone, they're gone.

Eleven new songs comprise World Painted Blood, on the set that was recorded in L.A. over two time periods, during October 2008 and then between late January and March 2009. World Painted Blood was produced by Greg Fidelman, who's spent studio time with Metallica, the Gossip, the (International) Noise Conspiracy, Slipknot and others, and executive produced by long-time Slayer colleague, Rick Rubin, who suggested Fidelman for the project.

Of World Painted Blood, Outburn said it "delivers and does so with all guns blazing...there isn't a bad track here," while Decibel called it "one of the most diverse albums the band has made." Guitar World's editor summed it up as "an exciting, disturbing and thoroughly bizarre thrill-ride."
